Always on the move!

Gabriel loves the pool! Yesterday the water was a bit cold and he was only too content to sit on my towel and eat crackers. He is too too cute! When we got home, I was putting all the swimmming gear away and looked to see what he was up to. Sure enough, Gabe is up on the bottom stair! He just decided he wanted to climb the stairs by himself and went right ahead and did it. He is so fast- like he has been doing it forever! Of course, his sisters think it is the most amazing thing a baby has ever done and continue to lure him up the stairs every few minutes. I have to invest in a gate of some sort or I'll never get anything done! He is growing too fast! Posted by Picasa
Yesterday we went to the Silver Lake pool for the last day of the swimming season. The girls are sad they can't go back to the pool until next summer... but they had great fun. Isabel jumped off the diving board several times. Miah didn't catch her- she would go nearly to the bottom and swim up to him and he'd help her to the side. I am amazed she wasn't even a little bit nervous or fearful! She is our little fish-girl. Elia loves doing somersaults in the water and seeing how long she can hold her breath under water, and jumping off the side. And they are so cute in their little goggles!! Posted by Picasa

Teeth!

Gabe cut his second tooth today. I really cannot believe how fast he is growing up. He is soooo cute. His personality reminds me a lot of Miah.... he seems so shy and serious when he is around people... but really, when we get home, he is so funny. He is so easy to make laugh. What a joyful baby he is! We feel so blessed by all our kids. They all have such sweet and kind spirits... it is awesome to watch them open their hearts to God and listen to what He asks of them. A day hardly goes by that Isabel (now called "Izzie" by Elia), isn't stopping to pray for someone that has an owie of any kind. And Elia... this girl has a servant's heart. Always volunteering to help or trying to think of something nice to do for someone else. And this new baby on the way- we are looking forward to meeting him or her and so excited to see what God will do in and through him or her! Not to mention to find out finally if baby is a HIM or HER!!! How blessed we are. How truly blessed we are.

Isabel's Two Cents

This post is from my daughter Isabel. My name is Isabel Iona Scharpe. I really love my papa. He told me a joke one day about some peanuts. I really liked it and this is what it is. Two peanuts were walking down the street and one was assaulted. I am now in pre-school and love going. We play games and do other fun things like make trees, play with playdough, make red things, and play with toys. I even learn stuff there like painting, the abc's, and numbers. I know how to spell my name. I love papa.
